Rustin’s Acrylic Ceramic Glaze

Ceramic Glaze will not crack, craze or yellow in time, stays completely clear. A one-part quick drying water-borne Ceramic Glaze, can be applied by brush or air-brush. Coating is usually touch dry within 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the ambient temperature. Artists dry powder pigments can be mixed with Rustin’s Acrylic Ceramic Glaze. It is compatible for use over some cellulose, acrylic, epoxy and oil based paints.

The surface must be clean, smooth, dry , free from dust and contaminants. Read the full instructions on the container.

Application
Acrylic Ceramic Glaze can be applied by brush or air-brush. If needed the product may be diluted with a maximum of 10% water for application by air-brush. Acrylic Ceramic Glaze will under normal ambient conditions take 10 days to fully cross-link and achieve maximum
hardness. Coats 2-3 coats, as required.
The coating is generally touch-dry within 30 minutes – 1 hour, depending on the ambient temperature.

Articles may be re-coated after 1-2 hrs.

Temp. Ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 15°C, or in conditions of high humidity.

Coated articles can be handled 2 hours after the final coat but will take 10 days to fully
harden if not stoved. During the 10 day period, articles should be protected from scuffs
and spills. Restored articles may be kept clean with a warm water mild detergent solution.
Dishwasher tests have been carried out on coated articles on a ‘Normal’ 65°C wash cycle
without detriment to the coating. This practice however is at the customers own risk.

Artist’s dry powder pigments can be mixed with Acrylic Ceramic Glaze. Artists Acrylic colours
can also be used but it is recommended that a test for compatibility is carried out because of
the differences in manufacturers formulations. Ceramic Glaze is compatible for use over some Cellulose, Epoxy, Acrylic and Oil based paints. Always test for compatibility first.

Low hazard . Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not empty into drains. Keep container tightly closed.

Clean equipment immediately after use with water.
